Who is this course for?
This course is for Nail Technicians who want to master safe and effective use of the E-File.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, this hands on training will equip you with the knowledge and technique needed.
Please note, you must hold a Gel Polish, Builder/Hard gel or Acrylic qualification to complete this course.
How long is the course?
This is a one day course running from 10am until 3.30pm approximately.
What will I learn?
You will learn-
Itroduction to the E-File, its parts, settings and uses
Drill bit selection, grits angles and directions
Nail anatomy recap and client consultation skills
Health, Safety and hygeine protocols
Natural nail preparation using the correct drill bits
How to de-bulk nail enchnacements, reduce length and prepare for an infill
Refining enhancements and under nail cleaning using the E-File
Hands on practice on your own nails and live models
Live demonstrations, guided practical sessions and Q&A
By the end of the course, you will be confident in using an E-File professionally.
Who will train me?
All courses are delivered by Natalie Reay, a qualified and accredited educator with extensive salon experience.
What is included?
All the drill bits needed to complete the course are provided, so you do not need to bring your own.
Included-
- Essential drill bits for natural nail preparation
- Sanding bands with mandrel
- Carbide bit for product de-bulk
- Professional course manual covering techniques, tips and guidance
- ABT accredited gold foil certificate on completion
Please note: The E-file machine is not included, students must bring their own to use on the day to carry out the practical sessions.
What are the entry requirements?
You must already hold a recognised nail qualification to be able to carry out this training course.
(Basic Gel Polish, Builder/Hard Gel or Acrylic)
Will I be qualified after completing this course?
Yes! Upon completion, you will receive a ABT Accredited certificate confirming your training. Before offering your services to clients, you must update your professional liability insurance policy to include E-File services, ensuring you are fully covered while working in a salon or freelance.
Do I need to bring a model?
Yes, please ask a model to attend the afternoon session – with one hand free of product and the other hand with grown out product for the practical module (preferably Builder Gel.)
What should I bring/wear?
Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes
You will need to bring-
- Your full kit to carry out an application and infill treatment
- Your E-File (Also a desktop dust extractor- recommended)
- Please bring your own lunch
Tea, Coffee and Water is provided.
A notebook and pen are included for notes

The course is held at our professional nail studio.

How much is the course cost?
The investment for this course is £250.

How do I book a course?
You can select your preferred course date from the website and add it to your basket. If the dates listed are not convenient, please contact info@nataliereayacademy to discuss a date that is suitable for you.
What is the cancellation and resheduling policy?
The course fee is non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend your booked date, you may transfer your booking to another available course date once. Any further rescheduling requests will be considered on a case by case basis and may incur an additional fee.
